Leicestershire Medieval Village Notes

This CD has taken over 2 years to produce and comprises over 189 Leicestershire Parishes and mainly covers the period from the 1086 Domesday Survey to the 1666 Hearth Tax.

The files on this CD have been produced in; Plain Text (in Txt Directory), Word format (in Doc Directory) and Web pages, (in Html Directory) - Similar to the Phillimores CD

The CD is set to Autoboot but if this does not run, the files can be run directly from the relevant directories as above, or if Web based format is required click on Start.Htm in the root directory of the CD. Buttons are then provided on each page to navigate around the information.

WARNING - Some large pages may result in a delay whilst being accessed

The CD can be easily searched for a surname etc. by using The Windows Start facility - Find - Files or Folders Change "Look In" to your CD Drive and enter the name you are looking for in "Containing Text" Then click on "Search Now"
 

After the search has completed the files containing the requested name will be listed in the box below. Clicking on these will allow them to viewed
